Unscripted Balagtasan
Wouldn't it be nice to see an actual balagtasan that wasn't memorized? Perhaps the Debate Socitey can conduct such event during August. The topics should be relevant to our time and somebody should win. In the traditional balagtasans, the topics are usually "weird", for example, which is more important, the sun or the moon and similar topics. Of course if that were the topic it is natural that no one will win the argument.

OO nga Ji. I think its nice to see people debating in a balagtasan style. We should suggest that to Debsoc and ask them to conduct it at central plaza para madami ding makakita. hehe. Plus di pa ko nakakita ng balagtasan na live! Sayang tapos na ung G.E. sana nirequest din natin na balagtasan ung rtr ng mga candidates! hehe Seriously, its a nice activity for Debsoc. It can help the younger generations to appreciate philippine poetry more.

hahahahahaha... to be more dramatic, they can wear barong tagalog pa and filipiniana...
it would be refreshing to hear people speak in "deep tagalog" ways
at the same time, it would be also "nosebleed" to some
with the kind of generation we have now, I wouldn't be surprised if some would object. hehehe
who knows, it may be helpful too
